In the recent July newsletter, one suggested “improvement” would be to rename Robert E Lee Rd. to Zenobia Way.

As a property owner on Robert E Lee and a board member at The Springs Condos, I want to say that we do not support such a name change. In fact, we strongly OPPOSE such a name change – as having an established, easy to spell and speak address is definitely preferable to a fanciful and difficult to pronounce street name which would need to be spelled out to everyone – and would only cause confusion and delay in emergency, transportation, customer service, and visitor situations – not to mention the confusion on legal documents.

So you have an entire community of residents who actually live on that street that are opposed to a name change! We would hope that you would not pursue such a change.

Hi! My daughter became disabled in 2011 and has not been able to attend any concerts since. We were hoping to venture out on June 26th to the Black Joe Lewis concert. My question to you is, what time would you arrive by, and what parking area would be the best for her to be able to have good access to the restrooms in particular, yet be able to see the concert. She will be getting around with her walker. This is our first time, so any advice sure would be appreciated so this isn’t a disaster 🙂 Many thanks for any suggestions you have!

Congratulations Kathleen, Cherylann, BH Elementary and everyone involved in spearheading this most worthy neighborhood project for people of all ages! The time, ideas and donations to help underwrite this playground/parkland “re-do” will repay residents 10-fold in years to come! What a wonderful sustainable contribution to the legacy of Barton Hills Elementary and Neighborhood! Thank you, Kathleen, for the informative powerpoint presentation at the quarterly meeting Tuesday, it is evident a lot of thought and work went into it’s production. I invite residents to rally behind this project and help in every way you are able in the months and years to come!
