Barton Hills Drive is scheduled for routine street maintenance (resurfacing). By coordinating with this resurfacing, the Austin Transportation Department (ATD) has the opportunity to modify the street striping with little to no effect on project cost and duration. ATD is assessing restriping options that could improve safety and mobility for all road users. The discussion will also include Homedale Drive.

There is some additional funding for the project (thank you Council Member Kitchen) that could add planters or enhanced crosswalks. The proposal for planters needs a commitment from maintenance of the planters.
