The following information was provided by the City of Austin and C3 Presents to help our neighborhood prepare for the upcoming Austin City Limits Music Festival:</p>
<p>ACL Music Festival will take place over two consecutive weekends: Friday, October 6th at 11am to Sunday, October 8th at 10pm and Friday, October 13th at 11am to Sunday, October 15th at 10pm. Please see the map on the following page for closures. Preparatory closures are beginning the Friday before and will remain in place until the Monday after the festival. Go to <a href="http://www.austintexas.gov/parkevents" target="_blank" rel="noopener">www.austintexas.gov/parkevents</a> for interactive park access maps.</p>
<p>Barton Springs Pool is open <strong>at all times</strong> during normal hours. During festival days parking is protected at the south gate lot off Robert E. Lee for pool swimmers. In addition, Auditorium Shores will be open at all times for general and off-leash use.</p>
<p>Zilker Park, and all Austin parks, are non-smoking venues. Festival patrons will be directed to smoke outside the festival gates on the street. All passholders will be allowed to exit and re-enter the Festival grounds during the event. If you choose to smoke outside of the Festival, be mindful and responsibly discard cigarettes.</p>
<p><strong>SCHEDULED CLOSURES</strong><br />
Barton Springs Road will be closed on festival show days to all vehicle traffic starting at Robert E Lee Street. Cars will be able to make a u-turn on Barton Springs Road OR turn right onto Sterzing Street and be directed to South Lamar Blvd. This closure will reduce the amount of vehicles allowed into the neighborhoods and will create a safe crossing for pedestrians at Robert E Lee and Barton Springs Road.</p>

<p><strong>PARKING</strong><br />
Due to the increase in restricted parking areas, appropriate signage will be installed earlier, as well as allowing for time for corrections prior to the event commencing. These signs are valid upon installation. Please adhere to the signage. The restricted parking area signage will stay UP between weekends. They remain valid during this time period.</p>
<p><strong>DROP OFF ZONE</strong><br />
Drop off zone near Austin High.</p>
<p><strong>SHUTTLES</strong><br />
Free festival shuttles run from downtown at Republic Square Park to the site! 2017 features a dedicated entry gate for shuttle riders.</p>
<p>Shuttles are ADA compliant! Limited ADA parking first-come first-served is available via the Mopac side. All cars must have current valid ADA plaquards displayed.</p>
<p><strong>BIKING / HIKING</strong><br />
Bike racks are located in the park at both event entry area. Bring your own lock! Make sure your bike has reflectors/ and to wear reflective gear.<br />

Between the hours of 9pm &#8211; 12am on event nights, the following roads will be closed to all vehicle access:<br />

Residential traffic will be allowed to exit the neighborhood on Robert E. Lee, East Bound onto Barton Springs from 12:00am &#8211; 11:59am on event days.<br />

<p><strong>LOW FLYING AIRCRAFT</strong><br />
FAA aircraft information.<br />
The San Antonio Flight Standards District Office (FSDO) is the office that would take complaints about safety violations. That number is (800) 292-2023.</p>
<p>The FAA does not, however, take calls regarding nuisance complaints. Nuisance/aircraft noise complaints would go to the Aviation Department. <p>The <strong><a href="http://austintrailoflights.org" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Trail of Lights</a></strong> is a treasured Austin tradition that delights thousands of children and adults alike during the holiday season. Since the event is held in nearby Zilker Park and involves intermittent nightly closure of Barton Springs Road from Dec. 3 through Dec. 23, it impacts our neighborhood significantly. The City has worked closely with our Neighborhood Association to address resident concerns including neighborhood parking, access to the Park and Barton Springs pool, and increased traffic on our residential streets.</p>

<p><strong>No parking signage</strong></p>
<p>Neighborhood wide no parking signage will be installed before the event. The signs will NOT be actively enforced by patrols, but should be adhered to in all locations. APD will be actively ticketing and towing this year in all signed no parking areas <em><strong>on EVENT DAYS!</strong></em></p>
<p><strong>Helpful Tip</strong></p>
<p>If you have guests coming over, it is suggested to park your car on street in legal unsigned areas, and then allow your guests to park in the driveway.</p>
<p><b>Zilker Park And Barton Springs Pool Details</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Barton Springs Pool is open AT ALL TIMES during normal hours. Drive-in access and ADA parking to the pool during road closure times via Mopac and Andrew Zilker on the WEST side of the park, or at the south gate entrance on Robert E. Lee. The southgate parking areas will be closed to all event attendees and staffed by security.</li>
<li>Zilker Park &#8211; Rugby Field, Picnic Areas, parking lots, playscape (South of Barton Springs Road)</li>
<li>Open to drive in traffic daily until roads close (to allow cars to be removed safely before patrons arrive).</li>
<li>The entire upper area of the Great Lawn will remain open. In addition, Auditorium Shores and Butler Park will be open at all times for park users.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Neighborhood Patrol  &#8211; Dedicated Neighborhood ROVING Patrol </strong></p>
<ul>
<li>4 officers and 1 sergeant &#8211; Roving 5 pm until approximately 10 pm daily. This dedicated unit will be roving and responding to issues/concerns throughout the impacted neighborhoods.</li>
</ul>

This year Barton Springs Road will be closed on festival show days to all vehicle traffic starting at Sterzing Street. Cars will be able to make a u-turn on Barton Springs Road OR turn right onto Sterzing Street and be directed to South Lamar Blvd. This closure will reduce the amount of vehicles allowed into the neighborhoods and will create a safe crossing for pedestrians at Robert E Lee and Barton Springs Road.</p>

During this time, a portion of the areas in and surrounding Zilker Park will be accessible to the public including Barton Springs, Rugby Field and the Botanical Gardens and Austin Nature and Science Center.</p>
<p><strong>PARKING</strong><br />
Due to the increase in restricted parking areas, appropriate signage will be installed earlier, as well as allowing for time for corrections prior to the event commencing.</p>
<p>These signs are valid upon installation. Please adhere to the signage. The restricted parking area signage will stay UP between weekends. They remain valid during this time period.</p>
