Join us for our first meeting of 2023

Here’s the agenda for our first BHNA meeting of 2023 next Tuesday night at St. Mark’s. We have a lot to cover, including discussions on the Brodie Oaks PUD and the Zilker Park Vision Plan, two issues that both have large potential impacts on our neighborhood. Please make plans to join us if you can.

Our new city councilperson, Ryan Alter, is expected to attend. We’ll also have officers from APD to give an update on neighborhood crime and policing.

Please note that we are NOT providing dinner during the 6 – 7 PM social hour, just some light snacks. Interest in dinner before our meetings has been on the decline for a long time. We usually end up losing money and having leftover food to deal with. It usually gets donated to either the fire station or a homeless camp. That isn’t a bad thing, but it’s a lot of extra work. If anyone wants something more substantial to eat, please feel free to bring and consume it.

We are looking at having child care (provided by teachers from St. Marks) available during our meetings. Please let us know if this is something that you would take advantage of. If there’s enough interest, we’ll try to start this service at our next meeting in April.

I think that’s all for now. We hope to see lots of you on Tuesday.

Thanks and have a good weekend,

Stan Ostrum
