Due to inclement weather on March 5, the Zilker Kite Festival was rescheduled for March 12.

Hi Neighbors,

The Zilker Kite Festival is in one week on March 5th starting at 10am going until 5pm. I have attached all the information provided by the Austin Parks Department.

Barton Springs Rd will be closed starting at 7am that Sunday March 5th from Sterzing to the Mopac access Rd. See attached map.

Neighborhood no parking will be similar to ACL festival. Namely one side of the street will be no parking from Hollow Creek to the southern Deerfoot Trail. See attached map.

Please dial 311 for any issues or complaints related to the event, whether sound or parking related.

The Moss Fest will be holding a children’s concert during the kite festival from 10am to approximately 1:30pm at Lou Neff point which is North East corner of the park (where Blues on the Green and the main ACL stage is located). The Barton Hills Elementary Choir will be performing at 10am.

This is one of my favorite Austin festivals so hopefully we have a nice sunny day and a strong wind so all the kites will be airborne!

Hope to see you down there!
